Skopje (Скопје) is the capital and largest city of the Republic of North Macedonia. It is the country’s political, cultural, economic, and academic centre. Skopje is located on the upper course of the Vardar River, and is located on a major north-south Balkan route.  The International Choir Festival “Skopje Sings” takes place in the end of August.

The Festival has non-competitive character. However, the character and the main concept of the festival is joining music, vacation, friendship and fun. The idea of the Festival is to bring the music closer to the people and to present the music on the streets and the squares of City of Skopje

GENERAL CONDITIONS    1. Registration

All choir ensembles, regardless of the members’ gender and age can apply for participation at the Festival. The limit of the chorister is maximum 35-37 per choir (including the conductor and the choir’s leader).

The program of the choir ensemble must be on the category of CLASSICAL,  POP, ROCK, JAZZ, or  FOLK  music.  The choice of program it’s free without limit of the instruments that may accompany the choir ensemble. The duration of performance shall not exceed 20 minutes per performance. The choir ensembles may have tree performances during the Festival.

 The following application documents must be provided by the closing date June, 01, 2021:

1. Fully completed application forms from our web side http://www.musicandseafestivals.com/
2. Short biography of the choir ensemble in a digital form in English;
3. Photo of the choir ensemble, digitally, in a form suitable for reproduction;
4. Accommodation

Accommodation shall be organized from the organizers in student hostels in Skopje.  The participants shall be placed in rooms with 2 or 3 beds, breakfast is included. 

The accommodation for the participants is free. For additional guests 15 euro’s per night for accommodation shall be paid.   The number of participants and guests (if any) shall be stipulated in the application form. 

3. Travel expenses –The transport to and from Skopje has to be organized by the ensembles themselves.
